Setting up
Four short steps.
Open Battery Orbit and add your licence.
Find it in Applications and paste the same licence key. A short welcome explains the basics, and the ring appears in your menu bar.

In System Settings › Battery, turn off Optimized Battery Charging (and set Charge Limit to 100% if your Mac has one), so macOS doesn’t hold the charge below your limits. The welcome screen opens the right page for you; Battery Orbit never changes it on its own.
Choose a mode.
Pick Custom Orbit, Natural Flow or Desk Hold in Modes. From then on Battery Orbit carries on by itself, through sleep and restarts.
Requirements: A MacBook with Apple silicon (M1 or later) · macOS 14.4 Sonoma or later · Your Mac’s administrator password, once, to install the charging helper.
To remove Battery Orbit, run its uninstaller. It hands charging back to macOS first, then removes the app and its helper. Download the uninstaller
